Dharan, Province 1. Gorkha Chautari construction in final stage, preparing to become Dharan’s new attraction

Gorkha Chautari, which is being built inside Shram Sanskriti Park under Dharan sub-metropolitan city–20, has reached its final stage. The construction work of Mini Chautari has been completed and the construction work of the main gate of Chautari is also progressing rapidly.

Information has been received that the left side road from Shramanskrit Park towards Ara Dharan has also reached its final stage. The work of applying tiles and marble in Chautari has reached its final stage. Former British Gurkhas, Singapore Police, and Lahures serving in the Indian Army are involved in the construction work, who are also donating labor every Thursday

The workers working in Chautari have expressed their satisfaction with the work. In addition, beautification of Chautari is also being done. According to engineer Dipendra Kumar Rai, preparations for the construction of a viewpoint at the top of Chautari are also said to start soon.

This Gorkha Chautari of Dharan is being established as a cultural and social heritage built with the contribution of local Lahures.
